THE NATIVITY SCENE OF THE NUNS OF THE POOR CLARES

GH Entourage is pleased to announce that in the Convent of the Poor Clares of Gorizia in Piazza S. Antonio, 2/B the wonderful Nativity Scene ‘Gorizia Faith - Piazza S. Antonio 1900’ has been created and presented,recreating the atmosphere of the Christmas holidays in a historic setting from the early 20th century.

A moment of contemplation and meditation for the soul. Access to the Nativity Scene is freeand can also be reached from our garden in whose central flowerbed Henri V, Duke of Bordeaux and later Count of Chambord, grandson of Charles X of Bourbon,delighted in cultivating the typical Chambord Bourbon rose plants.

WARMEST WISHES FOR A JOYFUL CHRISTMAS 2025 AND A PEACEFUL 2026

GH ENTOURAGE is delighted to extend its warmest wishes for a joyful Christmas 2025 and a peaceful 2026. We will be celebrating at Palazzo Strassoldo, which from 1836 onwards was home for a long period to the heirs of the last King of France, Charles X. OUR CHRISTMAS TREE evokes and represents this HISTORICAL presence.

WE ALSO WANTED TO REMEMBER the RITUAL of CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER, which TRADITIONALLY ADORNED the table with violets: a symbol of affection and family respect, humility and loyalty. In contrast to the fleur-de-lis, known in Italy as the giglio and emblem of the House of Bourbon of France, the violet represents the symbol of the Jacobins. The same flower was much loved by Napoleon Bonaparte.

In particular, the violet of UDINE, blue-violet with white petals, was obtained in 1875 by the Friulian count FILIPPO Savorgnan di Brazzà, a passionate botanist. Its flowering season, which began in November and continued until March, allowed it to adorn and perfume not only our Friulian homes, but also many other residences throughout Europe.

The "Charles X" Hall of Honour, approximately 180 square metres in size, can accommodate more than 100 guests on the first floor of the Grand Hotel Entourage. The Hall has been designed to allow cultural events and manifestations, as well as conventions, social gatherings, concerts, painting exhibitions and banquets to be held in a historic and elegant setting. A unique and exclusive environment that preserves the original oak flooring trodden by the Bourbon royal family of France, where the pleasure of a classy location stimulates the pleasure of listening.
